Editor's notes
Built for Codex: install-bundle.mjs installs the controller and 7 companion skills in one go. It needs Node.js 18+ and Python 3.10+, FFmpeg for the actual rough cut, and an API key for each service you call (MiniMax, CompShare or Fish Audio). Project state lives in production.json; when an upstream file's hash changes, downstream artifacts are marked stale and must be re-approved, and paid submissions and retries need your explicit confirmation each time. doctor.mjs and offline-demo.mjs run offline without any key and can produce a local HTML storyboard review page. The top of the README carries a CompShare referral sign-up link.

Skills in this repo (8)
Names and descriptions come from each SKILL.md frontmatter; Chinese descriptions are shown in our English translation.
- short-drama-production
Coordinates an AI short drama's stages, dependencies, approvals, H3 jobs, sound assets, rough cut and QC, and tracks rework with production.json; supports 16:9 by default. Use for producing a whole short drama, continuing a project, checking status or analyzing the impact of upstream changes; when creating an outline, characters, art, script or storyboard on its own, use the corresponding specialist skill.
- h3-prompt-writing
Write MiniMax H3 video generation prompts for T2VA, I2VA, FL2VA, L2VA, and Ref2VA. Use when rewriting multimodal requests into H3 prompt structures, composing integrated_multimodal_description, overall_soundscape, and non_diegetic_music, aligning keyframes, or defining reference labels for images,…
- novel-art
Designs master versions of scenes and narrative props for an AI short drama, plus lighting and state variants, producing art.json, Markdown, a review report and optional design sheets. Use for art design and scene and prop consistency; it does not replace director's blocking or crowd-flow design for the final film.
- novel-characters
Organizes characters' identities, relationships, appearance and voice design from a story, producing character cards, image prompts and a review report, and can generate design sheets on demand. Use for character analysis, character portraits and character masters; in short-drama production, it casts according to the approved outline and the current batch.
- novel-outline
Adapts a novel or story into a short-drama outline, deciding which characters stay or go, per-episode causality, plot focus and asset budget, and produces verifiable JSON, Markdown and a review report. Use for short-drama outlines, adaptation plans and diagnosing an existing outline; it does not write the full script or the shot plan.
- novel-script
Turns an episode outline into structured scenes, action beats and line-by-line dialogue, checks character and art references, estimates runtime and delivers a script review report. Use for writing scripts, dialogue and scene revisions; it does not storyboard or directly run voiceover or video generation.
- novel-storyboard
Turns the script and director's intent into generation segments, per-shot timing, a reference-material plan and a verifiable storyboard report; writes H3 prompts with the official h3-prompt-writing and can export a production package. Use for technical storyboards, shot lists and storyboard revisions; generating video requires a separate explicit task and cost authorization, and it is not responsible for final take selection or editing.
- short-drama-director
Turns a script into performance, blocking, shot coverage, shot sizes, camera positions, camera movement and editing intent, producing a verifiable director's shot package. Use for directing plans, how to shoot a scene, shot diagnosis and storyboard restructuring; does not trigger when only an outline, script or asset design is requested.
